Biography
Iro Kyriakaki (Poros, Troizinia, 1932) is a Greek actress, who became known to the wider public for her performance in the role of Katerina in the film The Red Lanterns (1963) by Alekos Galanos alongside actor Notis Pergialis. She studied directing and theater at the school of Karolos Koun. She played with Koun in the play Uncle Vanya by Anton Chekhov and in Last Autumn by Alexis Damianos. In cinema, she had important participations such as in Red Lanterns (1963), but also in The Children of the Swallow (1987). She married the groundbreaking filmmaker Stavros Torne. (Source: Wikipedia)
