Mason Mecartea (/Muh-Car-Tee/) is an American Actor and filmmaker. He is best known for his role as 'Dan Shelter' in Netflix's no. 1 series, Stranger Things, and 'Cole' in Damien Leone's Terrifier 3. Mason's previous, and upcoming, film and TV credits include playing the role of 'Tim' in Popular Theory (2023), 'Coleman' in Bad Haircut (2025) as well as appearances on shows and films like NBC's Found, Blue Ridge and the upcoming Rise and Decline of Punk Rock by Dustin Haney. Mason also directs and produces under the production banner of The Day Productions. His work includes projects like Smashing Pumpkins (2023) Twin Flame (2024) and Soft Side (2025).
