Dwyer O'Brien
Biography
Dwyer O’Brien (born July 17, 2002) is a Los Angeles-based American filmmaker and visual artist, and the co-founder of Awakening Productions. In 2025, he released TOXOPLASMA, a 45-minute cult horror film, which he directed and produced with Robert Giles, with both credited as directors and producers. O’Brien later directed REFLECTION.MP4 (2025), a found footage analog horror short that advanced to the finalist rounds at Square Peg Social, the festival curated by Ari Aster and Lars Knudsen. O’Brien has also worked in development at Vertigo Entertainment under producer Roy Lee on WEAPONS (2025). As of 2026, he works in talent management at Nuyorican Productions, the film and television production company founded by Jennifer Lopez and Benny Medina.
