Jan Romein

Biography

Jan Marius Romein (Rotterdam, 30 October 1893 – Amsterdam, 16 July 1962) was a Dutch historian and professor at the University of Amsterdam. Together with his wife Annie Romein-Verschoor, he published various works on Dutch history. He was also active in the field of cultural history and was an editor of De Tribune.
