Long-Johnned Quixote
Overview
Long-Pants Quixote, driven by the noble goal of reaching Trabzon, becoming its ruler, reuniting with his dream lover Dürdane whom he believes he will find there, and eradicating all evil in the world, decides to set off from Madrid, taking his squire Sancho with him. Although Sancho dislikes such aimless and meaningless journeys, he reluctantly follows his master, armed with a unusable bicycle. Using his cell phone to navigate, they traverse mountains and hills, battle cell towers, and finally arrive at Madrid Airport, exhausted and battered. With broken and dislocated arms, and having been severely beaten by a driver and his assistant from Ordu, they arrive at the Submission Cafe in Trabzon. While having tea and chatting with Temel, Tursun, and Teslim, Long-Pants Quixote listens to their complaints and proposes the idea of Trabzon's independence, an idea that is immediately embraced.
