Set in the heart of a bustling Egyptian neighbourhood, Downtown follows the intertwined lives of middle and working-class families navigating love, loss, rivalry and daily struggle. When a father dies and his eldest son discovers he has been cut from the will, long-buried tensions erupt between siblings.
