Overview

Bai Yingchu, the legitimate daughter of the Minister of Revenue, is framed by her concubine-born sister, Bai Qingrou, and her cousin, Lin Zizhang. Thrown into the Sunü Pavilion to endure horrific abuse, she crosses paths with the Third Prince, Pei Yan, and the two form an alliance for revenge. During her investigation, she discovers that her father, Bai Xuanwen, is conspiring with the Crown Prince to commit treason—and that her mother’s death was tied to this very plot. Returning to the manor under the alias "Zhixi," she systematically exposes the conspiracy, leading to the capture of both the Crown Prince and her father. With her vengeance finally complete, Bai Yingchu chooses to walk away from the power struggles of the court. Alongside Pei Yan, she abandons the pursuit of the throne to seek a life of freedom.
