Motherhood of Taihang

Overview

Set during the Anti-Japanese War in 1939, the story follows rural women in the Taihang Mountains who take responsibility for nursing and raising the children of Eighth Route Army soldiers. Enduring hardship and danger amid the chaos of war, they become a vital part of the resistance effort and form deep bonds with the soldiers fighting to defend their homeland.
